Brendan's Vision for Oro Valley:

• Oro Valley should focus on attracting young professional families in order to improve schools, grow businesses, and increase our tax base.

• The addition of Ventana and Sanofi revealed a lack of programs and businesses directed at young families in Oro Valley. If we want to continue to attract high tech employers and jobs, then we need to ensure that workers and businesses view our town as a desirable place to relocate.

• Young professional families will increase our tax revenues and create jobs as they spend a higher proportion of their incomes on local goods and services. 

• Oro Valley is uniquely situated to attract retiring baby boomers and young professional families. This will benefit us all as increased demand increases our property values. 

• We must continue to support our senior citizens and retirees through recreational activities, outdoor spaces, and government programs that allow seniors to maintain their independence.
• Brendan will ensure that any growth in Oro Valley is consistent with our ideals and values. He will make sure that the economic downturn is not used as an excuse to make short-sighted decisions that prevent us from realizing our long term vision of making Oro Valley the premier community in Arizona.
• Brendan will bring fiscal responsibility to the Town Council. In tough economic times we must budget prudently to ensure that essential town services are maintained while still making the necessary investments to grow consistent with our long term plan.
